Sempervivum Tracy Sue
The plant likes full sun, but can also tolerate partial shade. It is suitable for rock gardens or portable containers.
In a pot, water after the substrate has dried out. When placed in a rock garden, water lightly or not at all at your discretion.
The plant is fully frost hardy.
Sempervivum 'Tracy Sue' has a compact, neat rosette and is an ideal choice for rockeries or containers thanks to its hardiness and low maintenance.
Sempervivum Tracy Sue is a cultivar bred by Edward Skrocki from the United States of America in 1973. This houseleek is very light in appearance, with rosettes showing an almost uniform colouring. It grows reliably and gradually forms attractive, compact cushions, while the appearance may change slightly during the year according to the seasons.
It is best grown in a sunny position in a well-draining, mainly mineral substrate that should not remain waterlogged for long periods. It is suitable for rock gardens, dry stone walls and containers with drainage, and tolerates year-round outdoor cultivation. The plant is monocarpic, meaning the mother rosette dies after flowering, but it produces new rosettes beforehand, ensuring the continuation of the planting. Thanks to its pale colouring and steady growth, it is a good choice for adding a lighter tone to a houseleek collection.
