Pelora looks like a miniature version of the Oddity cultivar and often forms random cristates.

Sempervivum Pelora is a cultivar bred by Ben J. M. Zonneveld from the Netherlands in 1985, originating as a mutation of S. tectorum. This houseleek forms medium-sized rosettes with unusual, almost tubular leaves and appears like a miniature version of the cultivar S. Oddity. The colouring is predominantly green, the growth is vigorous, and the plant very often produces spontaneous cristate forms, which is characteristic for this cultivar. The appearance may change during the year according to the seasons.

It is best grown in a sunny position in a well-draining, mainly mineral substrate, where long-term waterlogging must be avoided. It is suitable for rock gardens, dry stone walls and containers with drainage, and tolerates year-round outdoor cultivation. The plant is monocarpic, meaning the mother rosette dies after flowering, but thanks to its vigorous growth and offsetting, the clump continues to develop. Due to its unusual leaf shape and frequent cristate formation, it is a particularly attractive choice for collectors of houseleeks.
