Sempervivum Kylie Minogue is a cultivar of Sempervivum pittonii, bred by Martin Miklánek from Slovakia in 2004. It forms compact rosettes with fresh green leaves tipped with darker brown to burgundy points. The leaves are finely hairy, and the rosettes maintain a regular shape. The colouring changes during the year according to the seasons.
It is best grown in a sunny position in a well-draining, predominantly mineral substrate that should not remain waterlogged for long periods. It is suitable for rock gardens, dry stone walls and containers with drainage, and tolerates year-round outdoor cultivation. The plant is monocarpic, meaning the mother rosette dies after flowering, but it produces offsets beforehand, ensuring the continuation of the planting. With its balanced growth and clean colouring, it is a good choice for houseleek collections.
