Did you know?

Exhibita is the name of a cultivar bred in 1976.

Sempervivum Exhibita is a cultivar bred by Edward Skrocki from the United States of America in 1976. It forms medium-sized rosettes coloured in shades of pink to purple. The colour tones change during the year according to the seasons and growing conditions, while the rosettes maintain a regular shape.

It is best grown in a sunny position in a well-draining, predominantly mineral substrate that should not remain waterlogged for long periods. It is suitable for rock gardens, dry stone walls and containers with drainage, and tolerates year-round outdoor cultivation. The plant is monocarpic, meaning the mother rosette dies after flowering, but it produces offsets beforehand, ensuring the continuation of the planting. With its soft pink to purple colouring, it is a pleasant addition to houseleek collections.
