Sempervivum Alluring is a cultivar bred by Edward Skrocki from the United States of America in 1977. This houseleek is characterised by very vigorous growth, with rosettes showing especially bright colours in spring. The colour expression changes during the year according to the seasons.
It is best grown in a sunny position in a well-draining, mainly mineral substrate that should not remain waterlogged for long periods. It is suitable for rock gardens, dry stone walls and containers with drainage, and tolerates year-round outdoor cultivation. The plant is monocarpic, meaning the mother rosette dies after flowering, but it produces new rosettes beforehand, ensuring the continuation of the planting. Thanks to its energetic growth and vivid spring colouring, it is a good choice for refreshing a houseleek collection.
