Ideally, place in the sun. If possible, plant outdoors in summer.

Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. Reduce watering in winter.

It can withstand temperatures as low as -6.7 °C for short periods. However, the plant is not frost-resistant.

TIP for you:

For strong, compact, comb-like growth, give the plant as much light as possible.

Sedum lucidum Obesum cristata is an unusual form of stonecrop grown for its deformed, crested growth. The term “cristata” is used for plants with flattened, fan-shaped stems caused by a growth anomaly.

The plant forms flat, flattened stems that expand irregularly and are light green in color. The leaves are smaller, reddish, fleshy, and densely arranged along the stems. Its overall appearance is very different from typical stonecrops, and it can reach a height of around 40 cm.

Flowers do not appear on this crested form. It is cultivated mainly for the shape of the stems and the structure of the leaves.

Sedum lucidum Obesum cristata requires a well-draining substrate and a bright position. Watering should be moderate and only after the substrate has dried, as it must not remain waterlogged for long periods. Thanks to its easy care and unusual appearance, it is well suited for container growing as a distinctive collector plant.
