Ideally, place in a sunny spot. Sedum is suitable for rock gardens.

Always water the pot after the substrate has dried out. When placed in a rock garden, water at your discretion.

It is a frost-resistant succulent that can withstand temperatures as low as -40 °C.

TIP for you:

Dense, low growth creates a compact cushion with a uniform structure.

Sedum dasyphyllum Himalayan Clouds is a more elongated form of the cultivar Sedum dasyphyllum, similar to the type Himalayan Skies. This frost-hardy stonecrop forms dense, fast-spreading mats and works well as a groundcover rock garden plant in sunny, well-drained conditions.

The plant produces trailing stems that can reach around 15 cm in length, covered with tightly packed blue-green fleshy leaves. Compared to other forms, “Himalayan Clouds” has a finer and more elongated appearance while maintaining a compact, carpet-like growth habit. Its colouring is usually fairly stable throughout the season.

During summer, small white star-shaped flowers appear above the foliage, adding a delicate seasonal feature to the low-growing mats.

Sedum dasyphyllum Himalayan Clouds is an undemanding species suitable for rock gardens and portable containers with well-drained soil. Watering is mainly needed during prolonged drought, while in winter the plant is usually kept dry. The rosettes may contract slightly during colder months and resprout again in spring. Thanks to its hardiness and soft blue-green mat growth, it is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a reliable and quickly spreading outdoor stonecrop.
