Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. Reduce watering in winter.

It can withstand temperatures down to -3.9 °C for short periods. However, the plant is not frost-resistant.

On cooler nights, the leaves take on a delicate pink hue, which further accentuates the variegation.

Sedum Alice Evans variegata is a variegated form of a hybrid stonecrop with parentage from Sedum clavatum and Sedum lucidum. This hybrid was published in the Sedum Society newsletter in 1996 and is grown mainly for its stable variegation and compact growth.

The leaves are thick, fleshy, green with variegation, firm, and pointed, reaching up to about 4 cm in length. They are arranged in a dense rosette at the end of the stem, with the rosette reaching up to around 10 cm in diameter. The stems have a trailing habit, giving the plant a relaxed, cascading appearance.

The flowers are white and star-shaped, appearing on branched flowering stems. These can grow up to about 15 cm tall and rise above the leaf rosettes.

Sedum Alice Evans variegata requires a well-draining substrate and a bright position. Watering should be moderate and only after the substrate has dried, as it must not remain waterlogged for long periods. The plant can be easily propagated from leaves and makes an attractive addition to a succulent collection.
