TIP for you:

A low Sedum with small, densely clustered leaves that change color significantly throughout the year. In full sun and dry conditions, it changes from green to red and burgundy tones.

Sedum album Athoum is a green-leaved cultivar of the widespread species Sedum album (white stonecrop), belonging among undemanding frost-hardy rock garden succulents suitable for outdoor planting. In its growth habit, it is similar to Sedum album Murale, but it is characterised by distinctly greener foliage and a slightly more robust appearance.

The plant is composed of fleshy, somewhat larger leaves that form a dense, low-growing mat. Creeping stems gradually spread sideways and can create continuous groundcover carpets over time. As the plant develops, the lower leaves naturally wither and drop, which is typical for this type of stonecrop.

Flowering follows the general pattern of Sedum album, producing small pale flowers on low flowering stems during the summer season. However, the plant is mainly cultivated for its compact growth and natural groundcover habit.

Sedum album Athoum is an easy and reliable species for rock gardens, dry stone walls, and portable containers with well-drained soil. Thanks to its green foliage and strong frost tolerance, it is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a hardy stonecrop with a simple and natural growth form for outdoor plantings.
