The plant is ideally suited to partial shade, but can tolerate sunny sites.

Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. In winter, limit watering.

It can tolerate -1,1 °C in the short term. However, the plant is not hardy.

TIP for you:

Fire Sparks is best colored in a bright location without direct midday sun—this is when it acquires its typical rich green hue.

Peperomia Fire Sparks is a hybrid peperomia that does not occur in the wild and was bred for its unusual appearance and compact yet gradually bushy growth. Like other peperomias, it belongs to a group of plants whose relatives originate from tropical regions of the Americas, where they grow as understory plants or epiphytes in warm and humid environments.

The plant produces elongated, fleshy leaves of a fresh green colour, often with a slightly lighter centre and darker margins. The leaves are smooth and mildly glossy, growing on short stems that gradually branch. Peperomia Fire Sparks has a small shrub-like habit and, under good conditions, can reach a height of up to about 30 cm while maintaining a dense and well-balanced appearance.

The flowers are inconspicuous and typical of the genus Peperomia. They appear on thin, spike-like inflorescences rising above the foliage and are not grown for ornamental value.

Peperomia Fire Sparks is an easy-care houseplant best grown in a bright position without harsh direct sunlight. It prefers a light, well-drained substrate that should not remain waterlogged for long periods. Water moderately, allowing the soil to partially dry between waterings. Thanks to its bushy growth and elongated leaves, it is an excellent choice for anyone looking for an unusual peperomia to add to their indoor plant collection.
