Place in a sunny location, but it can also tolerate partial shade.

Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. Reduce watering in winter.

It can tolerate temperatures as low as -1.1 °C for short periods. However, the plant is not frost-resistant.

TIP for you:

It thrives best in well-drained soil and with plenty of light. Overwatering is the most common cause of problems.

Pelargonium formosum is a species of plant grown for its striking flowers and distinctly shaped leaves. It is valued mainly for its appearance during the growing season.

The leaves are medium to dark green, deeply lobed, and semicircular in shape. They form dense foliage and, together with the stems, give the plant a firm, upright habit. Pelargonium formosum can reach a height of around 40 cm.

The flowers are deep salmon pink. They appear roughly from May to September, although flowering does not occur continuously throughout this entire period.

Pelargonium formosum requires a well-draining substrate and a bright position. Watering should be regular, but the soil must not remain waterlogged for long periods. With basic care, it is an easy-to-grow geranium that stands out mainly for its flower color and leaf shape.
