The plant prefers a sunny location, but it also does well in partial shade.

Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. However, only water during the growing season.

It can tolerate temperatures down to 0 °C for a short period, but the plant is not frost-resistant.

TIP for you:

For the most pronounced leaf pattern, place the plant in a very bright location. In lower light, the contrast in the foliage may become less noticeable and the leaf stalks may stretch.

Oxalis triangularis Funny is an attractive cultivar of Oxalis triangularis, valued for its unusual green leaves with irregular pale variegation. Unlike the more common dark purple forms, it stands out with its fresh appearance and subtle marbled pattern, making each plant slightly unique.

The plant grows from underground bulbs and forms low clumps of long-stalked leaves, each composed of three triangular leaflets. The foliage is green with silvery to light green markings and irregular patterns. Like other oxalis species, the leaves respond to light conditions, folding at night or during poor weather and reopening when conditions improve.

Pure white flowers are borne on long, slender stalks above the foliage. Their clean appearance contrasts beautifully with the decorative leaves, creating an elegant display when the plant is in bloom. The flowers open in bright light and may continue appearing throughout much of the growing season.

Oxalis triangularis Funny thrives in a bright position without prolonged exposure to harsh midday sun. It prefers a well-draining substrate and regular but moderate watering during active growth. The plant may naturally enter dormancy during the year, retreating into its bulbs; during this period, watering should be stopped completely. Thanks to its unusual foliage and long-lasting ornamental value, it is one of the most interesting oxalis cultivars for indoor cultivation or seasonal outdoor displays.
