The plant likes sunny locations. If possible, it can be grown outdoors in summer.

Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. Reduce watering in winter.

It can tolerate light frost in the short term, but requires a minimum temperature of 15 °C in the long term. The plant is not frost-resistant.

TIP for you:

The unusual shape of the leaves is the main reason why this cultivar is so sought after.

Kalanchoe Green Spider is an unusual kalanchoe grown mainly for its narrow, elongated leaves, which give the plant a light, almost sculptural appearance. It is very similar to plants sold under the names Kalanchoe kewensis or Kalanchoe Spider and is valued primarily for its distinctive form.

The plant produces upright stems with stiff, finger-like leaves that often resemble antlers or spider legs. Leaf colour changes noticeably with light conditions: in partial shade the leaves remain mostly green, while in full sun they develop silvery, bronze to reddish tones. The leaves are smooth, strongly succulent and tolerant of drought. Growth is relatively slow, but over time the plant develops into a striking, architectural specimen that stands out clearly among other succulents.

Flowering usually occurs in late spring. The flowers are bright pink and appear in large numbers on tall flower stalks that rise well above the foliage. They are long-lasting and create a strong colour contrast with the more subdued tones of the leaves.

Kalanchoe Green Spider prefers a bright position with plenty of light, including direct sun, which helps enhance leaf colour and maintain compact growth. The substrate should be well-drained, and watering should be moderate, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Thanks to its unusual shape, changing colours and low maintenance requirements, this plant works as an immediate visual highlight in any succulent collection.
