Jovibarba heuffelii Slovanka
The plant likes full sun and is well suited for rock gardens and portable containers.
Water the pot only after the substrate has completely dried out; water the rockery according to current conditions.
It is fully frost-resistant and can withstand temperatures down to –34.4 °C.
Jovibarba heuffelii blooms only once in its lifetime, producing a stem up to 20 cm tall.
Jovibarba heuffelii Slovanka is a cultivar of unknown origin. It forms firm, compact rosettes with narrow, pointed leaves that are green at the base and transition to reddish-brown to burgundy tones towards the tips. The edges of the leaves are delicately light-colored, which highlights the pattern of the individual rosettes. The plant forms dense clusters of tightly packed rosettes.
It requires a sunny location and a very well-drained, predominantly mineral substrate, which must not be waterlogged for long periods. It is suitable for rockeries, dry walls and containers with drainage, where it can be grown outdoors all year round. Thanks to the distinctive coloration of the rosettes, it works well as a single specimen or in combination with other plants.
