The plant prefers full sun and is well suited to both rock gardens and portable containers.

Water the pot only after the substrate has completely dried out; water the rock garden according to current conditions and weather.

It is fully frost-resistant and can withstand temperatures down to –34.4 °C.

TIP for you:

This hybrid from England stands out with its contrasting black tips and fresh green foliage, which is most impressive in spring when the plant is at its most vibrant.

Jovibarba heuffelii Prisma is a cultivar bred by David T. Ford from the United Kingdom in 1980. It forms relatively small rosettes with grass-green leaves finished with distinctly dark to black tips. The contrast between the light leaf bases and the dark tips is especially noticeable in spring, while the colouring changes during the year according to the seasons.

It is best grown in a sunny position in a well-draining, predominantly mineral substrate, where prolonged waterlogging should be avoided. It is suitable for rock gardens, dry stone walls and containers with drainage, and tolerates year-round outdoor cultivation. Thanks to the strong colour contrast of its leaves, it fits well even into smaller plantings.
