The leaves have 3 to 7 green longitudinal lines that create a characteristic pattern.

Haworthia turgida var. pallidifolia, also accepted botanically as Haworthia turgida var. suberecta, is a small Haworthia species native to South Africa. It occurs in the Western Cape Province, from Albertinia to Brandwacht, where it grows in dry, rocky habitats.

The plant forms dense clusters of stemless rosettes composed of fleshy, shortened, and rounded leaves. The leaves are usually pale green, but they may take on reddish tones when slightly stressed by heat or drought. Their surface shows 3 to 7 green longitudinal lines and strongly spotted semi-translucent dots. Individual leaves reach up to about 3 cm in length and around 1.3 cm in width, while rosettes grow to approximately 7.5 cm in diameter.

The flowers are brownish-white with darker veins and appear on slender stalks that can reach up to around 20 cm in height.

Haworthia turgida var. pallidifolia is an undemanding succulent well suited for a bright indoor windowsill with careful watering and a well-drained substrate. Fertilising is usually unnecessary, as the plant maintains a compact habit with minimal care. Thanks to its soft colouring and translucent leaf markings, it is an excellent choice for anyone looking to add an elegant and easy-to-grow Haworthia to their collection.
