TIP for you:

Suitable for beginners thanks to its low demands and durability.

Haworthia fasciata Big Band, also listed under the botanical name Haworthiopsis fasciata Big Band, belongs to a group of closely related cultivars derived from Haworthia attenuata. This group includes other well-known forms such as Super Zebra or Super White, which are very similar and differ mainly in the patterning of their leaves.

The plant forms rosettes of firm, triangular, dark green leaves. A characteristic feature is the strong white horizontal banding on the underside of the leaves, combined with small white dots on the upper surface. This cultivar offsets easily and gradually forms dense clumps, which can reach up to around 20 cm in height and a similar spread.

The flowers are white and tubular, appearing in summer at the end of long flower stalks. Flowering is not the main ornamental feature, but it adds a seasonal detail to the plant’s appearance.

Haworthia fasciata Big Band is an undemanding and resilient succulent well suited for growing on a bright indoor windowsill. It does not require fertilising and prefers careful watering in a well-drained substrate. During prolonged drought, the leaf tips may dry slightly. Thanks to its striking leaf pattern and easy care, this cultivar is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a reliable yet visually distinctive succulent for their home.
