TIP for you:

This undemanding plant can take less care and is also highly valued by collectors. The interesting variegation patterns beautifully illustrate the appearance of the plant and make it shine in its surroundings.

Haworthia attenuata var. radula variegata is commonly known as Haworthiopsis attenuata var. radula Variegata. Its name radula probably refers to the shape of the leaves, which resembles a scraper. It is a variegated form whose original plant originates from South Africa, specifically the Cape region around Hankey.

The rosettes consist of green to brownish leaves that are densely covered with white bumps on both sides. In addition to the classic dark colours, it shows colour variations in white, cream and yellow. They may also turn orange or red in places. The leaves grow upright and can reach up to 8 cm long and 2 cm wide. The whole plant forms clumps that can reach up to 15 cm in height and diameter.

Although flowering is not very frequent in this variety, it can occur from spring to autumn. The flowers are white with reddish-brown veins and grow on slender stems that can reach up to 30 cm in length.

The succulent does not require fertiliser and is not demanding to care for. It is a very resilient plant that can take much more than most conventional plants. Each rosette of this plant is unique and creates an original pattern. This has made it a popular plant among succulent collectors.
