Echeveria Thriller Pearl
The plant likes a sunny location. The plant can be grown outdoors in summer.
Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. Reduce watering in winter.
It can withstand temperatures as low as -3.9 °C for short periods. However, the plant is not frost-resistant.
Echeveria Thriller Pearl captivates with its bizarre growths that sprout from beneath the leaves, giving the plant its unmistakable character.
Echeveria Thriller Pearl is a cultivar developed from Echeveria lilacina, from which it inherits its soft bluish colouring and the typical farinose leaf surface. It belongs among the more distinctive Echeveria forms, mainly appreciated for its changing tones and unusual rosette structure.
The colour shifts from cool blue shades into grey, and in strong light the plant can appear almost whitish. The leaves are long and tend to curve naturally, ending in strongly wavy margins. The underside of the leaves is often marked by small bumps, adding an irregular texture to the overall form. The rosette remains low-growing, but can become fairly large.
The plant may produce several flower stalks, and the blooms are pale yellow. Flowering is not the main feature of this cultivar, but it provides an additional seasonal detail during active growth.
Echeveria Thriller Pearl grows best in a bright position with well-draining soil and careful watering. With its rippled leaves and subtle colour shifts, it stands out especially as a solitary specimen and can be an interesting addition for growers looking for something less common.
