Echeveria Swirl cristata
The plant likes a sunny habitat.
Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. In winter, limit watering.
It can tolerate temperatures down to -1.1 °C in the short term. However, the plant is not hardy.
It will brighten up a collection with its lively appearance. The contrast of the red flat stem and the green-blue leaves with slightly red edges gives a bright look not only to the plant but also to its surroundings.
Echeveria Swirl cristata, although with a somewhat universal cultivar name, is a succulent cristata with a flattened red stem.
It is distinguished by small, rounded leaves that grow densely clustered to form a compact shape. Leaf colour ranges from green to greenish-blue, with slight red tinges on the edges, which may intensify depending on temperature and sunlight. The lower leaves of the plant dry naturally. The plant has a red, flat and firm stem from which side branches grow. The plant usually reaches a height of 15 cm.
The crested form does not flower.
I do not recommend fertilizing the succulent. Echeveria Swirl cristata is a beautiful and unpretentious succulent that will brighten up your collection and add a touch of exoticism. Its compactness, cristate stem and bright colours are guaranteed to win you over.
