The plant likes a sunny location. The plant can be grown outdoors in summer.

Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. Reduce watering in winter.

It can withstand temperatures as low as -3.9 °C for short periods. However, the plant is not frost-resistant.

Did you know?

Not all young plants have bumps, but they will gradually develop over time.

Echeveria Raindrops is a hybrid bred by Dick Wright and belongs among the smallest Echeverias with the characteristic bumps on the leaves. These little “drops” are the main feature that gave the plant its name.

The plant forms a neat rosette of pale green, spoon-shaped leaves with reddish margins. Near the tip of each leaf, a rounded blue-green bump develops, resembling a raised water droplet. The rosette can reach up to about 15 cm in diameter. Young plants, however, may not show the bumps clearly at first, as they often develop gradually with age.

The flowers are bell-shaped, pinkish on the outside and yellow inside. They appear in summer on branched flowering stalks that rise above the rosette.

Echeveria Raindrops grows best in a bright position with well-draining soil, and fertilising is not recommended. This cultivar rewards patience, since the distinctive “raindrops” become most pronounced on well-matured plants. If you are looking for an echeveria with truly unusual leaf texture, Echeveria Raindrops is one of the most interesting choices.
