Did you know?

The name La Reforma may refer to its place of origin in Mexico.

Echeveria La Reforma cannot be found in the wild. It is a horticultural hybrid created by crossing different species of the genus Echeveria, with the aim of producing a plant distinct from commonly grown rosette succulents.

This cultivar is characterised by its blue-green colour, which can shift into soft grey tones and contrasts strongly with the bright pink tips of the leaves. The leaves are sharply pointed, and the pink colouring often extends along the edges. The intensity of these tones changes depending on sunlight, and with sufficient light the pink hues may spread across the leaf surface. The plant grows low to the ground and forms a firm, compact rosette.

Flowering is usually fairly regular, and the blooms are typical of the genus Echeveria. They appear on longer flowering stalks and add interest during the growing season.

Echeveria La Reforma grows best in a bright position with well-draining soil. Fertilising is generally not recommended, as the plant tends to do better without added nutrients. This cultivar is a good choice for growers looking for a strongly coloured Echeveria with regular flowering and striking pink leaf tips.
