The plant likes a sunny location. The plant can be grown outdoors in summer.

Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. Reduce watering in winter.

It can withstand temperatures as low as -3.9 °C for short periods. However, the plant is not frost-resistant.

TIP for you:

To maintain a compact rosette, grow in a bright spot with good air circulation.

Echeveria Impi is a cultivar of the genus Echeveria, most likely of hybrid origin, as is common with many nursery selections. The genus Echeveria includes succulents native mainly to Mexico and Central America, valued for their rosette-forming growth. The name ‘Impi’ comes from the Zulu language and means “soldier” or “warrior group,” which fits well with the strong and bold appearance of this plant.

The plant forms a large, symmetrical rosette with firm, pointed leaves. The foliage is dark coloured, showing deep wine-red to brownish tones that become even richer under good light. The rosette can reach about 15 cm in diameter and remains compact and well-shaped.

The flowers are typical of the genus Echeveria, bell-shaped and produced on taller flower stalks. They usually appear on mature plants during the growing season.

Echeveria Impi grows best in a very bright position with well-draining soil. Watering should be done carefully only several days after the soil has completely dried out, as overwatering is the most common problem for echeverias. If you are looking for a dark-coloured echeveria with a large rosette and a bold character, Impi is an excellent choice for a collection.
