The plant likes sunny locations. If possible, it can be grown outdoors in summer.

Water only after the substrate has dried out. Reduce watering in winter.

It can withstand temperatures down to -6.7 °C for short periods. However, the plant is not frost-resistant.

TIP for you:

The white, heavily waxed leaves give the plant a "snowy" appearance while protecting it from strong sunlight and drying out.

Echeveria hookeri Snow is a pale form of the plant known as Echeveria hookeri, which is sometimes also placed in the genus Pachyveria under the names Pachyveria glauca or Pachyveria bea. Its exact origin is not fully clear and it is likely a hybrid cultivated in horticulture. The “Snow” form is distinguished by its much lighter, almost white farinose coating.

The plant forms firm rosettes of thick, cylindrical leaves covered with a dense waxy layer that gives it a snowy white to silvery appearance. Compared to standard forms, this cultivar shows softer, paler tones, sometimes with faint reddish tips. The rosettes remain low-growing for a long time and gradually develop into wider clumps as the plant produces side offsets.

Flowering may occur on an upright stalk that can reach around 20 cm in height. The flowers are typical of the genus Echeveria, often showing a pinkish outer colour with a gentle peach tone inside.

Echeveria hookeri Snow is an undemanding succulent well suited for a bright indoor windowsill or summer outdoor growth in a pot. A well-drained substrate is essential and it should not remain overly wet for long periods, while fertilising is usually unnecessary. Thanks to its distinctive snowy foliage, it is an excellent choice for anyone looking to add an elegant and less common form of Echeveria to their collection.
