This form has variegated leaves, making each plant unique.

Crassula rogersii variegata is a variegated form of a species often listed as Crassula congesta or Crassula rogersii. It is native to South Africa, where it grows in dry river valleys of the Eastern Cape region and in low shrubland habitats.

The plant has firm, elongated leaves with a distinct marginal edge. In the variegated form, pale stripes and markings appear on a light green background. The leaf surface is finely hairy due to short white hairs, giving it a soft, velvety texture. In full sun, the leaves may develop a reddish tint. Young stems are green, while older stems often turn dark purple to red. The plant grows as a small, densely branched shrub, reaching up to about 30 cm in height.

In summer, light yellow tubular to almost cylindrical flowers may appear. They form in small clusters at the ends of thin stalks, which can reach up to around 20 cm in length, although flowering is not always regular.

Crassula rogersii variegata is an undemanding species best grown in a bright position with a well-drained substrate that should not remain overly wet for long periods. Thanks to its variegated foliage and colourful stems, it is an excellent choice for anyone looking to add a compact and less common Crassula to their collection.
