Ideally, place in partial shade.

Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. Reduce watering in winter.

It can tolerate temperatures as low as -1.1 °C for short periods. However, the plant is not frost-resistant.

TIP for you:

Ideal for partial shade – the leaves retain their color and growth remains compact.

Crassula ovata Gollum variegata is a variegated form also known as Gollum Jade and listed under the synonym Crassula ovata Red Coral.

This plant grows as a small, shrubby succulent with sparsely branched stems. The leaves are tubular, and white to creamy stripes appear on the green surface, sometimes clearly defined and sometimes blending smoothly into the base color. Growth is slow, although the plant can eventually reach up to about 90 cm in height and around 60 cm in width.

The flowers are small, star-shaped, white to pinkish-white, and in typical forms appear from late winter to early spring. This variegated form, however, does not usually flower.

Crassula ovata Gollum variegata grows slowly and is well suited to smaller pots. It is considered a rarer cultivar and is a good choice for growers looking for a variegated jade plant with unusual tubular leaves.
