Ideally, place in a sunny location.

Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. Reduce watering in winter.

It can withstand temperatures as low as -3.9 °C for short periods. However, the plant is not frost-resistant.

TIP for you:

If you want red coloring, give it more sun.

Crassula lanuginosa ssp. pachystemon David is a small form of this subspecies, also known as Crassula David. It was collected by David Cumming in South Africa during the 1980s, and Rudolf Schulz later named it in his honour.

The plant is a compact succulent valued for its low growth habit and finely hairy foliage. It produces fleshy, disc-shaped leaves that are dark green and edged with delicate white hairs, often also visible on the lower surface. The stems are reddish, creeping to trailing, and may reach up to about 10 cm in length. In cooler weather or under strong light, the leaves can develop reddish tones.

The flowers are white and typical of the genus Crassula. They appear in small clusters on short stems, most often during winter and early summer.

Crassula lanuginosa ssp. pachystemon David is an undemanding species best grown in a bright position. In full sun it maintains a compact shape and stronger colouring, while in shade it may stretch upwards. A well-drained substrate is essential, and fertilising is usually unnecessary.
