Corpuscularia lehmannii variegata
The plant likes sunny locations, but can also tolerate partial shade.
Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. Reduce watering in winter.
It can withstand temperatures down to -3.9 °C for short periods. However, the plant is not frost-resistant.
When dehydrated, the leaves curl up — this is a reliable sign that the plant is thirsty. After watering, they will soon straighten out again.
Corpuscularia lehmannii variegata is a variegated form of Corpuscularia lehmannii, sometimes listed under the name Delosperma lehmannii variegata. It originates from South Africa and was selected for its distinctly variegated foliage. It is often referred to as an Ice plant.
This succulent has thick, fleshy leaves with a triangular cross-section, arranged in opposite pairs. The leaves are grey-green with irregular creamy yellow markings, reaching up to about 4 cm in length and around 1 cm in width. The plant develops ascending, branched stems and can grow to roughly 20 cm in height and up to 30 cm in width.
The flowers are yellow, daisy-like, and can reach up to 4 cm in diameter. They appear in spring and summer, although this variegated form does not flower regularly.
Corpuscularia lehmannii variegata is a rare succulent grown mainly for its foliage. If you are looking for a compact plant with striking variegation, this form can be an interesting addition to a collection.
