Aloe Confused
Ideally, place in partial shade.
Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. Reduce watering in winter.
It can tolerate temperatures as low as -1.1 °C for short periods. However, the plant is not frost-resistant.
Aloe is a drought-resistant succulent that can survive long periods without watering.
Aloe Confused is a cultivated aloe grown mainly for the distinctive appearance of its leaves. It is known from cultivation, and a precise natural origin is not usually specified. The name “Confused” is used as a grower’s designation.
The leaves are fleshy, upright to slightly spreading, with a smooth upper surface. The margins are strongly toothed with prominent white teeth and often develop reddish coloring, especially under brighter light. The underside of the leaves is finely spotted. The plant has a compact growth habit and remains relatively small.
The flowers have the typical form characteristic of the genus Aloe. They are borne on a separate flowering stalk rising above the leaf rosette.
Aloe Confused requires a well-draining substrate and a bright position. Watering should be kept moderate and only after the substrate has dried, as it must not remain waterlogged for long periods. Thanks to its compact size and striking foliage, it is well suited for container growing as an undemanding collector aloe.
