The plant likes sunny locations, but can also tolerate partial shade.

Always water a few days after the substrate has dried out. Reduce watering in winter.

It can withstand temperatures down to -6.7 °C for short periods. However, the plant is not frost-resistant.

TIP for you:

The variety of leaves is often less pronounced in summer, but as the weather cools, the colors return.

Aeonium Kilimanjaro is considered a form closely related to Aeonium Medusa. It is a succulent grown for its striking leaf coloration and tree-like growth, with one or more rosettes at the ends of the stems. It can be cultivated as a houseplant or as a seasonal outdoor plant.

The plant forms rosettes of leaves in dark green, red, purple, and almost black shades. Leaf coloration is highly variable and depends on light intensity and the season. It grows to a height of about 45 cm and gradually produces side shoots, which with age form a looser but attractive clump.

Flowering has not yet been observed in this plant.

Aeonium Kilimanjaro requires a bright position, a well-draining substrate, and moderate watering with thorough drying between waterings. It responds clearly to light conditions, which directly influence leaf coloration, and with proper care offers a long-lasting, distinctive, and variable appearance.
