Did you know?

It was created from the same breeding cross as Aeonium Velour.

Aeonium Blushing Beauty cristata is a form of a hybrid created by Jack Catlin. This hybrid originated from a cross between Aeonium canariense and Aeonium arboreum Zwartkopf and is a sibling of Aeonium Velour. It is a succulent known only from cultivation, in which the original rosette growth has transformed into a flattened, crest-like form typical of cristate plants.

The plant produces flattened, comb-shaped rosettes of colorful leaves at the ends of its stems. The leaves are light green with red blush tones that intensify in full sun or under drought stress. Under good growing conditions, the plant can reach a height of up to approximately 90 cm.

The cristate form is unlikely to flower.

This succulent is robust and resilient, requiring a bright position, a well-draining substrate, and watering with thorough drying between waterings. After repotting into a larger container, it responds with faster growth, and as a houseplant it suits growers looking for a striking, structurally unusual plant.
