Since my childhood I have loved nature. That's why I decided to continue on this path after studying at agriculture high school. During college, I have traveled to Europe several times with a friend to help him sell animals at pet shows. During my spare moments, I wandered around the trade shows and explored the range of products offered by foreign vendors.
At a show in Italy in 2017, I came across a sales booth that inspired me a lot. They were selling succulents and one of them really caught my eye. It was called Sedum multiceps. I immediately bought it and took it back to the Czech Republic.
Then I started to find out what kind of plant it was. I didn't know much about succulents, but the more I studied them, the more fascinated I became. I liked them so much that I immediately decided to collect them. Every time I went somewhere, I brought back a new succulent. I was very happy with them and my collection slowly grew.
During the beginning of my studies at the Czech University of Agriculture in Prague, I discovered the diverse possibilities of propagating succulents and tried to overcome the obstacles associated with their cultivation. I had a lot of propagated plants, so I gave them away to my friends. They liked the plants very much and were unexpectedly interested in them. I was pleasantly surprised by the great interest and I thought I could offer my plants to the wider public. But at that moment I needed to attend school and I didn't have much time to grow plants.
For almost two years this idea germinated in me and gradually took on clearer features. But the real turning point came when I failed my statistics exam and had to extend my studies. Thanks to that I had much more time and I could start my project: succulents-eshop.
I created my own website, built my first greenhouse and started growing on a larger scale. I had to get the necessary permits to grow and sell the plants. At that time my collection consisted of a couple of hundred species, hybrids and cultivars. Gradually I started to add them to my e-shop and started to sell these succulents.
I currently visit Czech gardening shops, stores and I go to shows. I am trying to find new house succulents that I don't have in my collection yet. My goal is to prepare for you the most diverse range of plants that I´ve grown myself. At the moment I am also focusing on expanding the range to include cacti and hardy succulents.
