Semponium

Semponium is a modern horticultural hybrid created by crossing Sempervivum with Aeonium. It combines the hardiness and compact growth of Sempervivum with the large, ornamental rosettes typical of Aeonium. The leaves are thick and succulent, ranging from green to deep burgundy or nearly black. Semponiums grow faster than Sempervivums yet tolerate cool temperatures better than most Aeoniums, making them attractive collector’s plants for containers and greenhouse cultivation.
